The challenge
Most people think about their roof twice: when it leaks, and when someone tells them it is about to. The rest of the time a roofing website is talking to an empty room. American Roofing & Waterproofing works across Arizona and the Southwest, commercial and residential, and it needs its site to do two jobs: catch the homeowner the day the ceiling stains, and give the property manager a reason to call before it does.
The typical roofing site handles neither. It asks for a phone call to get a price, which is exactly the call a cautious homeowner does not want to make. And it sends every kind of visitor (storm victims, HOA boards, insurance claimants, people idly wondering what a new roof costs) to the same "Contact Us" page.
What we built
The main site at americanroofingnow.com is built around a custom instant-quote tool that turns visitors into booked inspections. Alongside it sit a multi-step estimate form, urgency cues, and a free 21-point inspection offer. The quote comes first and the sales call comes second, which is the order the customer prefers.
Then we built a campaign page for each reason a person ends up looking at a roofer:
- [Instant roof estimate tool](https://americanroofingnow.com/roof-estimate-tool): six quick questions return a real Phoenix-area price range in seconds and drop the lead in the inbox.
- [Free roof inspection](https://americanroofingnow.com/roof-inspection-phoenix-arizona-roofing-contractor-american-roofing-waterproofing): plain-spoken "your roof is keeping a secret" copy and a detailed request form that qualifies the lead before the ladder goes up.
- [VIP program](https://americanroofingnow.com/volume-incentive-program-vip-for-roof-services-maintenance): the Volume Incentive Program for property managers, HOAs, and facilities teams, with a review form built for multi-property maintenance contracts.
- [Monsoon prep](https://americanroofingnow.com/monsoon-roof-prep): a storm-lashed hero and an urgency banner tied to Arizona's July-to-September monsoon, so the schedule fills before the crews book up.
- [El Niño inspection](https://americanroofingnow.com/free-roof-inspection-phoenix): built around forecasts of a wet El Niño year, it turns "rain is rare here" into a reason to book before the first storm tests the roof.
- [Wind damage](https://americanroofingnow.com/phoenix-wind-damage): insurance-claim urgency, a symptom-based inspection form, and copy that helps a homeowner document the damage for a claim.
- [Commercial and multifamily](https://americanroofingnow.com/commercial-multifamily-roof-leaks-maintenance): "water is patient, a flat roof is not," with a report-a-leak form for flat, foam, and low-slope roofs across many units.
- [Residential estimates](https://americanroofingnow.com/reliable-phoenix-residential-roofing-estimates-today): "know your number first," an itemized, in-writing estimate offer with a low-pressure request form.
The campaign pages run on WordPress, and the work around them includes SEO, Google Ads, email marketing, content, and market research.
Why it works
A price range beats a promise to call back. The estimate tool asks six questions and answers with a number. The visitor gets what they came for, and the roofer gets a lead who has already seen a realistic range, which makes the inspection a confirmation instead of a negotiation. We explain the mechanics in our conversion optimization work.
Each page matches one reason to search. Someone typing "wind damage roof inspection" after a storm is not shopping the way an HOA manager pricing maintenance across a portfolio of buildings is. Separate pages give each one its own headline, its own form, and its own ad group, which is how roofing companies stop paying for clicks that land on the wrong pitch. It is landing page optimization applied one weather event at a time.
Timing. The monsoon and El Niño pages are seasonal on purpose. They go up when the weather gives people a reason to think about their roof, and they ask for an inspection while the reason is fresh. An ad budget aimed at those weeks works harder than the same money spread evenly across the calendar.
Forms that qualify. The inspection and wind-damage forms ask about symptoms and property type, so the crew knows what it is walking into. A form that asks the right questions is worth more than one that asks for a name and a prayer.
What's on the site
- A custom instant-quote tool and a multi-step estimate form
- A free 21-point inspection offer
- Eight campaign landing pages, each with its own form
- B2B pages for property managers, HOAs, and multifamily owners
- Seasonal pages timed to monsoon season and El Niño forecasts
The same approach fits a roofer in San Antonio, where hail season does what the monsoon does in Phoenix, and where local SEO decides who shows up on the map the morning after a storm.
