Accessibility statement

Accessibility statement: a website everyone can use.

We want this website, and every website we build, to work for people of all abilities, whether they use a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, or a zoomed-in phone. Here is the standard we follow and how to tell us when we miss.

ACCESS.TXT - Notepad

Effective January 1, 2026. Last updated October 6, 2026.

SA Web Development is committed to digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We apply the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, on our own website and on every custom website and software project we build for clients.

What we do

Our standard practices include:

  • Meaningful page structure. We use proper HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main content, sections, and footer) so screen readers can describe the page and let people jump around it.
  • Full keyboard access. Everything works without a mouse: visible focus outlines, a skip-to-content link, and a tab order that follows the page.
  • Readable contrast. Body text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 against its background.
  • Respect for reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, we turn off decorative animation, including the scrolling ticker.

Feedback and fixes

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of sawebdevelopment.com. If you run into a barrier, or have trouble using any feature or document on this site, please tell us:

Accessibility questions, answered

The standard we follow, how to report a problem, and what the retro look means for usability.

What accessibility standard does SA Web Development follow?
We apply the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. We use them on this website and on the custom websites and software we build for clients. They are the most widely used benchmark for accessible websites.
How do I report an accessibility problem on this website?
Email accessibility@sawebdevelopment.com or call (210) 346-0848. Tell us the page and what got in your way, such as a button you couldn't reach by keyboard or text that was hard to read. We will look into it and work on a fix. Reports like these are genuinely useful to us.
Does the 1990s computer design make this site harder to use?
It shouldn't. The title bars, beveled buttons, and windows are drawn with ordinary HTML and CSS, so screen readers and keyboards treat them like any other page. The look is retro; the structure underneath follows the same standards as the rest of this statement. If something does get in your way, tell us.
Do you build accessible websites for clients?
Yes. The same standards apply to every custom website and application we build: semantic structure, keyboard access, readable contrast, and reduced-motion support. Accessible sites also tend to be faster and easier for search engines to read, so the work pays off in more than one way.
